Mar 30

AND IT CAME TO PASS that in the last week of the third month of the year 2015 under the reign of Obama, I, Elder Healey, being called of the Lord to serve Him as a missionary, went forth among the people of Argentina.
And it came to pass that my faithful companion, Elder Figueiredo, him being a man of large faith and diligence, went forth with me, and we did preach the word.
And lo, on the seventh day of the final week of the third month, we did reunite with our brethren and family in the covenant and we did bring praises to the Lord, and did offer our hearts to him, which fullfilled the promise which was spoken by the prophet saying Thou shalt go to church every Sunday
Behold, we did reunite in the Lords house, and behold, we were full of joy to see many new faces joining in with us and they did excercise their faith in the Lord to come unto baptism.
And now behold, I wish to write somewhat concerning the state of these new faces which did reunite with us in the house of the Lord.
For behold, we did bring two friends in the faith to the house of the Lord, and they were called Dolly and Nelson. And behold, they did rejoice in the church, feeling the Spirit within their very souls and the joy was spread among us all. And lo they did speak unto us with their souls, with a desire to return again to the church and become closer to the Lord of Hosts.
And it came to pass that we did rejoice with them in the wilderness of Argentina, in the city of Mariano Acosta.
But behold, our joy was not complete. For we saw that the devil, who is the father of all evil, had caused our dear friend Martin, to sleep excessively, yea so excessively that he could not rise himself from his pillow to rejoice in the house of the Lord.
But now I wish to speak unto the rest of my brethren and family, who have remained in the land of Canada while I have been guided by the Lord to the wilderness of Argentina.
Behold I wish that ye may all know and believe in Christ, for He is the Savior of our souls. And He did pay His life for us, insomuch that He did die on the cross.
And I exhort you all to believe in Him and give praise to His name.
But now behold, I shall return to my previous record, and I wish to write concerning the wilderness in which we are found.
For behold, in the third week of the final month, we went forth in the wilderness, and we found many beasts in the wilderness, namely dogs and felines, and many serpents of interesting workmanship.
And we did give battle to the beasts in the wilderness, and lo the Lord was with us and we did prevail. For behold the Lord gave promise unto me in a dream Thou shalt slay many dragons and dogs and dinosaurs in thy days.
And moreover, He did say unto me that my days would be filled with the game of basketball and I would rejoice. And lo, this is true.
And my companion did teach me the language of his people. And I did struggle in the gift of tongues.
But behold, my beloved brethren, the time has come to conclude my record, and I give my love to every soul who reads this record and I wish that they may rejoice in the Lord and give praises to Him and send me much maple syrup.
For behold my soul rejoices in the maple syrup.
And I give thee farewell my brethren with the love of my heart. I shall write to thee once again in the first week of the fourth month of the year 2015 in the reign of Lebron James in the NBA. Amen.

Enjoy :) Had fun writing it!
Love you all!

March 2
Hey everyone! Well this week has been pretty crazy with a ton of miracles and exciting news! I'm sure you are all wondering and excited to hear about my fresh new companion to the mission so I will start with him! His name is Elder Figueiredo (have fun pronouncing that one ;) He is from Brazil! Which makes things fun because I am training him and teaching him Spanish - but he doesn't speak English only Portuguese so that is a fun challenge! But I am being taught a little Portuguese which is AWESOME! My new companion is amazing, he is very faithful and a convert to the church. He was baptized 4 years ago! He is learning lots and progressing very well! Things are a little crazy for me running the show now and helping him to teach and find investigators but I have already seen many miracles from the faith and diligence he has!

Lets see, this week I would like to share a little miracle that happened yesterday in Church. We were in class and a Brother Gonzalez pulled us out of class saying that someone had walked into the church looking for the Elders. His name was Emanual, and he told us that he had been investigating the Church for over a year! Just in a different part of Argentina and recently he had moved here to Buenos Aires. We were so shocked to meet him and we went to his house after Church! We met his girlfriend and they had on the table all the scriptures and pamphlets and everything from the Church! They told us that when they found the Church, they cried with joy. They were so happy that they could find the place to continue where they left off. They have not been baptized yet because Emanual needs to get all his papers and documents from the government in order to be married and then baptized! It was quite a miracle to find them. We shared some scriptures and cake (best part) and took a picture! It was awesome!

I love you all so much! I hope that this week is full of miracles and spiritual experiences but more than that I hope that each of you will RECOGNIZE the blessings that the Lord has placed in your lives!

Sadly looks like summer hasn't quite had its time with us, things were pretttyyy hot this week as for temperatures! And as for the work and investigators, things are just rolling along smoothly!

For all you back home, the Book of Mormon IS TRUE. And I really hope that each one of you has had that confirmation for your selves, because I know that it can truly bless the lives of each one of you. This week my eyes have been opened to so many things as I've searched the scriptures and I have also come to see how revelation can come to ANYONE, if we look for it! So look for it!
I love you all! Have an amazing week! Send me some snow and maple and again I love you all tons!

March 23
Hey everyone once again! Another solid week and it looks like the heat has officially left us here in Buenos Aires, we are starting to get some chilly weather here during the night and morning hours! I'm gonna need to call up on that Canadian blood to keep me going!

I will start with a pretty cool investigator we had for church yesterday. His name is Martin and he is 14 years old. He is really cool, his family is pretty crazy and his mom doesn't understand many things but Martin is a decent kid. He came to church with us yesterday!!!! He was pretty nervous about the other kids at church beating him up or the leaders being mean but he left the church super happy and really wanting to go to the activities that the young men have throughout the week! He is super awesome and we are working and praying for him. And the Lord is super super AWESOME, He placed in our path an awesome family of 4 which loved the message and accepted us very warmly! The Lord always has things prepared sooooo well!

I continue to learn in Portuguese from my companion, with some hopes to have a 3rd language by the time I am done with him. He is super hilarious and has been telling me of some stories that I have been speaking in the night! :) Good times.........

Well Family and Friends, today I am super stoked because we 4 missionaries and a member are going fishing!!!! That is gonna be pretty awesome, lots of pictures and hopefully lots of fish! So everyone have an awesome week, I love you all!! And remember that God loves you all too!
