So I was on divisions with my zone leader and some guy came up to us in the street and started talking to us. He had a bottle of beer in his hand that he had not yet opened. We talked a bit. He lives in the street and told us he wants to change his life. We explained to him that he needs to come to church. He needs to become closer to Jesus Christ and that will change him. We told him where the church was and before we left I asked:
Me: "What are you going to do with that bottle of beer?"
Man: "I'm going to drink it!!!"
Me: "We can take that from you, you can start the change now."
Man: " Nahhhh I'm gonna drink it!!" (Smile on his face)
.....pause..... Man stares at the beer for a while
Man: " Your going to take it away?"
Me: "Yes"
Man: pause........ "Alright take it!! And take my cigarettes!! I want to change now!!"
(Gives me the beer and the cigarettes)
Me: "How do you feel?"
Man: "Lots better, thank you so much"
Me: "We will see you later my friend, come to church!!"
He did not come to church this week, but the funny part was the zone leader and I going to the park (it was kinda dark out) and trying to open the beer bottle. We opened the cap a little bit but it sprayed beer all over my hands..... that was nasty.... Then I took the beer and broke it over a curb and poured the beer out. We went to a members home to wash my hands. It was hilarious hahha.
