He's MOVED again!!!! To a town named after a legend!

It has been a long while since I updated Devon's blog - all is well, just slow and he has been so busy the email have been short.  But now there is new news to tell and a little story behind it.

He has moved to a city called Bragado, about four hours from Buenos Aires.  Populations is about 40,000.  The name of the city came from an old 18th century legend. At that time, there was a brave horse, incredibly beautiful and defiant, who went to the lagoon to drink water.

The natives and the soldiers of the Argentine Army (who were exploring and trying to take control of the lands from the native people), wanted to tame the horse. There were many attempts to catch it, but the horse was brave and it was always fighting, defending its freedom.
One day, a group of soldiers corner it against the lagoon, in a ravine, and when they were sure that it had no escape, the horse jumped to the water, killing itself. It preferred death to captivity.  The libertarian spirit of the horse was so amazing that the legend of the Bragado horse spread around the place and gave name to the city.

August 10 - Well everyone! I have been transfered to a new area with a new companion!! Lets give you all a quick update.

My new area is about 4 hours outside of Buenos Aires, Im back to the countryside!! It is super awesome! But this whole week it has RAINED like crazy!!! I have never seen so much rain in my life and it looks to continue throughout the week. But oh well, it was pretty cool actually there was a MASSIVE thunderstorm to welcome me to the town :) I am in a town named Bragado, it is a good sized town, a lot bigger than General Villegas.

My new companion is Elder Fowers! A stud from Georgia and we are having a blast together. We have actually already met before in the mission and we are stoked to work together!

And we are serving here as Zone Leaders! The Lord called me suddenly to take the place of a Zone Leader who had to leave! So I am serving out here in the country as Zone Leader for a couple little towns alongside Elder Fowers! We are the youngest Zone Leaders in the mission and pretty stoked to be working here! Get ready for miracles!

Have an amazing week everyone!!
The caption he wrote for this picture was,
