Luggage has arrived....but where's the candy????

I know, I know!!! I have been properly admonished by many for not posting Devon's latest update from Argentina last Thursday.  I got his emails in the morning, but we also left for Seattle that day.  I did not have time to get everything done before we left.

The good news?  His second suitcase arrived (as you will soon read) but there was a shocking lack of candy in it......

"Hey Everyone Again!

Second week complete!  And everything is going very well!  The district here is absolutely fantastic, we always have so much fun and get along really well.  Here at the MTC I feel closer to God then I've ever felt before, it is so amazing to feel the love from everyone - other missionaries, the teachers, the Presidents!

I got my suitcase!!! It arrived literally right as I finished emailing last week, so I have both.  Except I think we forgot to pack one thing that would have been nice - CANDY!  All the Elders here have packed tons of candy and I'm having serious cravings.  Luckily they are nice and share with me.  And more vitamins would have been handy.

I hope everything is well with all of you back home.  I am typing this email before I read all your emails to save on time.  Sometimes I kinda gotta skim read so if I miss a question or something - sorry!  Let me know how you are doing - I want to hear ALL the details from ALL of you!

My companion Elder Seffker and I are getting along really well, we teach great together and lately the Spirit has been very evident in all our lessons.  My Spanish skills are increasing soooooooo fast!! I actually have to stop myself from typing in Spanish right now!  (It also helps because Elder Seffker is really struggling with the language so he doesn't say too much during the lessons). The Temple here is absolutely incredible, when I went there I had a strong desire to go through the temple with all of you.

One thing I've learned about the missions is that we learn new things every single day - new ways to teach, study, speak, all that stuff!  Even when I will have one week left on my mission I will still be learning new things - I guarantee that.  The days are flying by now and I can see what people mean that the mission goes by fast.  I can't even imagine how fast it is going to go by once I get out into the mission field (leaving the MTC) in about 4 weeks.

One of the Elders here - Edler Fonnesbeck is the greatest guy.  He is from Idaho and he showed me some pictures from home, he has done quite a few rodeos!  So we talked about the Calgary Stampede and we want to meet up in Calgary after our missions and go there.  He has never been.

Well everyone, love you all - I need to do my best to blast through the rest of these emails!

With lots of love!
Elder Healey"

And that's what was new last week!  If you haven't caught on, I add a few things to this blog from the email he sends to me personally.  Like the part about not packing candy.....I guess I'll have to put a package together soon, and cross my fingers that it will actually get to him!

Until Thursday....
