Teaching Miracles and an AWESOME zone picture!

Devon and his zone - the largest in his mission
September 14
Well now. This was an amazing week. I will share a couple experiences with you all.
First off - a fun fact. I learned a bit of Spanish sign language this week!! Pretty sweet eh? I did not know that Spanish sign language was different from English sign language but I was able to learn a bit in a division that I did with a couple Elders in another small town about an hour away. It was pretty awesome. I learned really well how to say "I am scared of spiders" :)

And this week as I said we saw MIRACLES. In Church yesterday we were SO happy to see like 4 families come to church that are preparing for baptism!!! One family - The Rodriguez family, was originally fairly resistant to accepting reading and praying and coming to church.... buuttttttt after some SWEET lessons and some hard times they are going through they told us that they were reading and came to church yesterday and loved it!!!! They thanked us for "putting them in the right path to go" :) The father of the family was always very resistant to praying after the lesson but on Saturday he said an amazing prayer!!!! And he said "Thank you Lord for sending these Sons to me to guide me back to you" :D Miracle and a half.

Another family named Daniela and Cristian came to church with their awesome two little sons. Daniela and Cristian HATED each other when we met them. Literally fighting all the time. It was lame. So Daniela starting reading the Book of Mormon  A TON. And she changed!!! Cristian starting listening to her reading and they prayed together! Yesterday they came to church together and LOVED IT. And we called them last night and they said "We are getting married and want to get baptized!" WOHOOO!!! Miracle and a half 2.

We are also preparing for a baptism that is going to change the ward and unite a family a ton. There is a Sturla family here in this ward that is part member. The son served a mission and is now in the district presidency. The mother is member and is coming back to church and the father is not a member, and has not been for a long time. Hundreds of missionaries have passed by, and he never decided to get baptized. We stopped by and chatted.....

And hes getting baptized in 2 weeks :D

I know this church is true!!!! THE BOOK OF MORMON IS A BOOK THAT CAN CHANGE LIVES. I have seen it with my own eyes and will not deny it. READ THE BOOK OF MORMON IF YOU HAVE NOT

EVEN IF YOU HAVE READ THE BOOK OF MORMON READ IT AGAIN LOL

I love you all and I hope that this week is a week of MIRACLES, because that is what is happening down here! Stay classy Edmonton ;)

I am VERY happy to report that all is well in Zion and in Bragado as well!! ;) I am also very VERY happy to report that we were able to see the baptism of our friend Hildemar Sturla who has been waiting to be baptized for 20 YEARS! AND THAT DAY HAS COME!!!
He is loved by the ward, he is strong in his testimony and very excited to be a member of the true church of God. His family and the ward have been anxiously waiting for the day when someone or something would help him to make his decision to be baptized!!! And we were here to see him make that step!!! His son who is member of the district presidency was happy to baptize and confirm him.
Things go well here as always. I have been deemed as the Zone Stallion because every time another Elder is with me, his bike seems to magically break, so I have had to haul around the countryside almost 10 different Elders on the back of my bike (my companion had to carry around with his bike resting on my back!!)
Henceforth - I shall be know as the Stallion of Argentina.

When I email Devon each week, I ask him five questions - that way he HAS to answer me.  One of the questions was, had any crazy dreams lately (cause Devon always does).  This was his reply...

Yes, the other day I had a dream that Elder Fowers and I were spies and trying to avoid zombies at night, suddenly I turned into Batman and was trying to enter a building which had the big Crocodile evil dude inside. I threw a couple grenades at him, but didn't work. Decided to kick the door down - super scared - and instead of the Crocodile there was a woman inside. So I charged in and ran to the basement and in the basement was the whole Bearspaw ward having a barbecue with Curtis Woolf at the grill, the twins from the family that I can't remember their names that always want to watch Star Wars 5 (the Brewerton's) were racing some quads so I joined in. Then I woke up. :)
