I am now emailing you from a internet cafe in the middle of Ituzaingo! : My first area of the mission!! I am LOVING it here!!! The people are so friendly and I am learning soooooooooooo much every single day!!
I will start with my companion - Elder Hunt from Idaho, he is awesome! He has 14 months in the field and his really helping me to adjust to this area and teach and meet the people of this area. He likes basketball and tennis and is a pretty chill dude, he is very friendly and we are getting along really well.

I LOVE the members here!!! I am getting to know them very very well, they keep asking me which local soccer team I cheer for hahaha. And every time we go to a members house, they ALWAYS feed us sooooooo much, we never leave a member home without getting some kind of food hahaha. So that is a big thumbs up!
Right now we are working with a few investigators and really doing some less active work because there is a lot of that in this ward.
I will share two quick experiences. First of all my Spanish is skyrocketing, speaking with the natives and members is teaching me so much. And Elder Hunt is helping a ton. We were in a less active members home and two of her relatives who were non members asked us for a blessing!!! So I gave my very first priesthood blessing EVER in Spanish! I had never even given one in English before this so that was crazy!! I was pretty nervous, but I really just opened my mind and heart to the Spirit. Afterwards the man I gave the blessing to gave me a big hug and said I did fantastic and he was mega gracious for that. I was pretty embarrassed but he told me it was great.
After that, we went to another less active home to teach them. Elder Hunt gave me the floor to teach about what I wanted so, I taught about faith in Jesus Christ. I taught with all my heart and effort in Spanish because I didn't know much I just hoped they would understand enough. The Spirit was SO strong!!! The mother of the household began to cry and the father was choked up. They told me I was speaking better Spanish than missionaries who had been in the field for 6 months!!
It has been an amazing first week. I am absolutely loving it. I am learning growing and turning more and more into the dude I need to be. :) I love you all!!! Keep being awesome and keep the bball court in good shape!!
Love
Elder Healey
