The dogs of Argentina have it out for Devon!!!! ANOTHER dog story!!

Aug 19 -  So I was not able to write for the past few days as you may have noticed! On Monday down here it was a big national holiday and everything was closed all day. That was lame. And then yesterday on Tuesday I went to a different little town to do divisions with some missionaries down there for the day and I just got back this morning so now I can finally write to you guys!!!
This week has been good. The rain finally stopped at the end of last week. But there was some serious flooding going on. There was a river that passes by a part of the town and it was SO HIGH. I wish I had a picture. It was literally right up to the bottom of a bridge that crossed. The only thing protecting this part of poor town was a little bit of earth hills, but if the water got any higher, you can say goodbye to those homes. We went over and found a member that was inactive with her family that are not members and we went to her home and blessed the house. She told us that she had been praying a ton for a miracle and then we showed up!! We blessed her and the home and nothing has happened! It was an awesome experience. My companion mud planted one day biking over there and it was hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing. But there has been a lot of water!!!
The ever serious zone leaders
We had a pretty intense experience with a baptism this weekend. On Friday we had both of our bikes broken and it was lame. We finished a ton of planning and work to do in the apartment and walked to the church to fill up the font for a baptism of a 10 year old in a family that recently reactivating. The water was very very cold. The dad got in the water and the kid would not. He touched the water and freaked out and ran into the hall. We tried to encourage him to get in. He got to the third step and then ran out screaming and crying. That was stressful. He did not get baptized. That was super lame. This weekend we are hoping to baptize a chico named Geronimo! He is a great kid and we are trying to get him more excited!!! We are teaching TONS of people lately. We are having tons of success and doing great, it is pretty awesome. I am loving it because there is a ton of work to do!!!!!

Devon's new poncho!
Aug 24 - BEFORE I FORGET  I NEED TO TELL YOU
SOMETHING AWESOME.
You know in The Emperors New Groove movie the type of clothes that Kusco uses??!! Its called a Poncho or something like that and I found one in a store here that is AWESOME, and I'm totally buying it, it was on sale for a sweet price too!!! For the material that its made out of it is super cheap!!!!! I'm super excited, I was drawn into temptation.... hehehehe I'll send you a picture of it next week.

Aug 31 - Well family and friends I got bad news....I got bit by a dog...AGAIN. I seemed to have desevered it though because I was biking down the road and all of the sudden like 4 dogs starting barking like maniacs and chasing me. One got close and tried to bite me so I BOOTED IT straight in the face and it was AWESOME. I thoroughly enjoyed that. It ran away. And all was good. Then we went to an investigators home and we were waiting outside for them to let us in. I stepped back all chill and ACCIDENTLY stepped hard right on this dumb dog foot. So this dog decided to freak out and turn around and chomp me right below the left cheek of my bottom.

That hurt.

But I am okay!!! Hahahaha luckily for now it is not that bad at all but it was really lame and hurt a lot. My companion died laughing and I grimaced in the lesson quite a bit.
As for the work! Things are great and we are teaching A TON. BIG NEWS.
So as you all know I am a Zone Leader here. So the mission recently had changes and we are now...... the Zone Leaders of the biggest freaking zone in the mission and its crazy. They combined the two zones that were out in the country side and know we are running alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll that!!! And its awesome! We have some amazing missionaries and we are super excited. We are teaching sooooooooooooooooo many investigators and we have about 12 preparing to be baptized! We are loving the work as always and working hard.

My companion is a dork. ;)  - which Devon clarified in my email is said in a truly loving way as they apparently tease eachother constantly...of course

Love you all!!! :)
Love
