Halloween Argentina Style and what?? He moved already???

October 27th - Hey everyone!!!
Well this was an amazing week :) Celeste was baptized and confirmed this weekend!!! It was such an amazing experience to see her dad, who wasn't active in the church for 4 years, come back to the church and keep the commandments and his daughter have such excitement and desires to be baptized!! She teaches US now everytime we go to visit!!! It was such a miracle to find them right in the exact moment they needed us, and they are such such an amazing family :)

This Friday, we had organized a Family Home Evening Activity in the church which all families in the ward and members and investigators were invited to. We had 6 investigators there!!! One of them in particular, Teofilo, is awesomeeeeee. I had a good chat with him, he said that he was going through a very hard time in his life right now, he is very alone and doesn't have a lot of support or hope in his life right now. He said we found him right at the exact point that he needed us in his life, and he felt such an amazing spirit of family and friendship in the church that night. He said we gave off some kind of ´light´ that he loved and we hope to be able to visit with him a lot more :)

We have two more investigators preparing for baptisms in November (one for the same day as my birthday!!) both are in families, and we hope that their examples will bless their families to make the same life benefiting choice. Jonathan and Malena are their names and they are AWESOME.
Here are a couple pictures from the baptism this week, one is with Juan and Celeste, and Celeste´s grandma and our ward mission leader Hermano Silva. It was a pretty amazing day (And quite hot as well, don't know if I've mentioned that before ;) The other is of me in front of the font after we cleaned it out, thought Id send a picture of me! Ill try and send some others to you guys, I love you all!! You are all amazing and keep working in your own way in this great missionary work!!!

November 3 - Hey everyone!
Well, you all remember how I said how hot it was down here?? Well so much for that!! It now has been pouring rain and storming for 4 days!! The streets are LITERALLY rivers in some places!! It makes missionary work a little..... interesting hahaha. But anyways I will share how this week went with Ituzaingo!

First of all Happy Halloween!! Send me some crazy halloween stories if you have any! The people here in Argentina don't go trick or treating because it is pretty dangerous especially here in Ituzaingo, so they just have crazy parties and dress up like lunatics hahaha. I do have a Halloween story for all of you though that happened with me and Elder Hunt. The night before Halloween we were in the apartment planning and eating before going to bed. I went to go change and Elder Hunt went into the kitchen to make some water for us for the next day. I went back into the kitchen to get some food and stood beside Elder Hunt. Looking down I noticed a HUGE cockroach crawling on Elder Hunt´s shirt, but he didn't know it was there!! I tried to brush it off without telling him but unfortunately he noticed my efforts and looked down. The next few minutes were spent watching Elder Hunt dance and jump and scream a little bit and run in circles. It was quite funny now that I think about it, but we are now a little more cautious for our little "friends" in the apartment. :)

Well, now I will share a more spiritual experience from this week! Elder Hunt and I were walking with a Sister Pla from our ward to an appointment we had with a new investigator. Unfortunately the appointment fell through and we were left in the street with a few names to visit, but no confirmed appointments. It was a little disappointing, so I was hoping and praying that we could find someone to teach!! Then I remembered a reference that was given to me by a member from another ward, unfortunately we didnt have the exact address but the member had described to me where the house was - his sister and brother in law. The sister is not a member but the brother is. We were close to the described area so we headed over there with Sister Pla. We found the area and I picked the house that I was pretty sure was the house the member had told me. We clapped the door and the sister came out and let us in!! Annnddd turns out she was super good friends with Sister Pla! So that was sweeeeeeeet!!! They told us after the lesson how strange it was that we had just showed up right when they were hoping to visit with the missionaries soon!

Boom. That was inspiration at its finest moment for Elder Hunt and I. It was such an amazing experience later that day when more people told us that we had passed by at the exact moment they were thinking about us!!! Faith leads to miracles I tell ya.

So! I have homework for all of you! I would LOVE it, if you could send me your testimonies for next week!! I would love to read them and learn about your experiences with the gospel and the true Church. I love you all!! You are all my inspirations and my motivation!! We are still awesome here, and taking care of business!! Yesterday was Elder Hunts birthday so we had a sweet party.......... hahahaha maybe not that sweet but we did get a cake from a member!
Anyways, I love you all! Time to shoot some emails off to you guys! Stay Boss.
Love
Elder Healey (Whose nickname now in Argentina is Superman) He took his Superman t-shirt with him!!

November 10 - Hey everyone! BIG news!!
Talk about a big change this week! I have been transferred from Ituzaingo and am now in a ward (congregation) called LIBERTAD!!! Whewwww it has been a crazy week, let me tell ya, with all this change and saying goodbye to Ituzaingo was crazyyyyyy!!

My new companion is Elder Escobar, from Chile! He is a convert to the church, he converted at 21 and is now 25 serving a mission! He has 19 months in the mission and so far we are getting along really well! Another big change about coming to Libertad is that this ward hasn't had missionaries for 4 years! We are reopening this ward with Elders so there is a TON of work for us to do! The ward is super excited to have us and we are working hard. It is a bit of a challenge to get to know the area since we are both new here but we are going to keep working hard and I already see amazing results on the horizon. :)

Saying goodbye to Ituzaingo was crazy, it was such a fast change, especially when I expected to stay there for my entire training. When I said goodbye to the Silva Family, they were pretty sad. Celeste - our recent convert - cried and hugged me like six times which was a little awkward. Overall, it was a crazy day of working and saying goodbye at the same time. I feel like I did my part successfully in Ituzaingo! And the older Elders were teasing me and telling me that this was my time to leave the crib and hit the world!!

So far, Libertad looks amazing. The area is a lot wealthier and cleaner and our apartment is SOOOO much better than the last apartment. The Bishop could use a little work.... he isn't exactly the nicest guy. But our ward mission leader is a boss!! And we have tons of youth preparing to serve missions who want to go teach and work with us. I think this is going to be an amazing transfer here in Libertad!! I already see awesome effects on my life and this mission!

I think about you all often! You are my motivation and inspiration!!! Stay awesome! Keep me updated on NBA, and careful with the heat up there! ;)
Love you all!
Love
Elder Healey
